Margin Checkup is a small business in Winter Park, Florida, and a trade name of Feline IT Technologies LLC. We look at a business’s numbers to find where the money is, so we handle information that matters. This page says plainly what we collect, why, where it is kept and how to have it deleted.

What we collect

• The contact form. Your name, business name, business type, email, phone (if you give it) and your message. It is emailed to us so we can reply. We don’t add you to a mailing list.
• Statements and data you send us. The bank and card statements you export and upload through the private link we send you. We never ask for logins or passwords.
• Emails you send us, to answer them and keep a record of our work together.
• Texts and photos you send to our number (receipts and questions, if you are a client), and the mobile number they come from. See Text us.

This website doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t use analytics that follow you around the web.

How we use it

Only to reply to you and to do the work you asked for: building your P&L, finding the improvements and writing your plan. We don’t sell, rent or share your information for marketing, and we don’t share or sell mobile numbers or text-message consent with anyone for marketing. Your numbers are shown to nobody outside Margin Checkup, and we sign your NDA before you send anything.

Where it is kept

• Email and client files are kept in Google Workspace, our business email and storage, with access limited to the people working on your account.
• Statements are stored encrypted and deleted 12 months after we receive them, or sooner if you ask.
• Texts and photos sent to our number arrive through Twilio (and WhatsApp, if you use it), are saved to your client file in Google Workspace, and are read automatically inside our Cloudflare account to pull out the amount, date and place. They are deleted 12 months after we receive them, or sooner if you ask.
• The website is hosted by DreamHost; the page fonts load from Google Fonts.

Our internal tools and Google sign-in

Some of our internal tools, such as our store dashboards at calls.margincheckup.com, are private and only for people we have added. Sign-in is handled by Cloudflare Access, either with a one-time code sent to your email or with “Sign in with Google”.

When you sign in with Google, we receive only your name and email address, and use them only to check that you are on the list of people allowed in. We don’t receive your password and don’t ask for access to your Gmail, Drive, contacts or anything else in your Google account. Our use of information received from Google follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, including your statements before the 12 months are up. Write to hello@margincheckup.com and we’ll take care of it and confirm by email.

Changes

If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and its date. For anything that affects work already under way, we’ll tell you directly.
